We are frequently asked if it’s okay to continue past day 40 during Phase 2. We do not recommend completing more than 40 days of phase 2 at a time. After day 40, weight loss tends to slow tremendously.
If you have more weight to lose when you reach day 40, we would recommend that you transition into phase 3 for three weeks, at which point you could start a new round by loading again, and completing another Phase 2, followed by Phase 3. Taking that 3 week break helps to “jump start” your progress again, prevents you from getting burned out, and gives you a chance to experience maintenance.
